2020 chamber of commerce banquet

Always fun to decorate for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Banquet. Thank you to all who braved the nasty weather to bring in greenery from their gardens.

Decorating for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Industrial Foundation Banquet is always a fun morning for us…albeit some labor involved, but FUN! This year the banquet was held on February 5, 2019. Eleven members managed to arrive by 9AM and get started with a task that might have seemed monumental to some but not to these seasoned garden club members. Here are a few pictures we managed to get in between scurrying from table to table with greenery cut from our gardens. Thank you Shannon and Lana for bringing us together in an organized manner and making this a fun activity.

These club members did a wonderful job of creating centerpieces for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Industrial Foundation Banquet in January, 2017.  We had a few members who were not able to make it that day, but those who did had a great time of fellowship and a couple hours to let their creative juices flow!

It's so satisfying to be able to use what is in our gardens to create something this beautiful! Great job!

Another successful morning decorating for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce Industrial Foundation Banquet held on Tuesday, February 2, 2016. This is a yearly project that has been supported by Bluebonnet Garden Club for the past 43 years!  Now, that's dedication! To top off the evening, our very own garden club member extraordinaire, Twila Tate, was named Woman of the Year by the chamber.  This is a much deserved award as Twila not only is a dedicated and hardworking garden club member but supports many other organizations in the community.  We are so proud and thankful to have Twila in our club!  She was instrumental in the start of the Butterfly Garden at Brenham Elementary and her dedication has continued to this day.  Thank you, Twila, for all you do!

AND...they did! Beautiful job done by these ladies.  A two-fold benefit...prune our yards AND create beautiful decorations for the Washington County Chamber Banquet.
